Citizen, LIGHT is TIME (2014)
"Renowned Japanese watch manufacturer CITIZEN recently unveiled a stunning installation called LIGHT is TIME at Milan Design Week. Displayed in the Triennale di Milano exhibition hall, the spectacular installation consists of 80,000 main plates (the structural bases of watches) suspended from 4,200 metal threads hooked to the ceiling. The result is a truly one-of-a-kind experience for viewers, who are enveloped in a cloud of refracting light, time frozen around them like thousands of golden rain drops." - Jenny Zhang

Fish Lamps by Frank Gehry
Iconic Canadian-American architect and artist Frank Gehry created a gorgeous sculptural series of fish lamps using jagged scales of ColorCore formica mounted on wireframes.
“After accidentally shattering a piece of ColorCore while working on a commission for Formica, he decided to use the broken shards as fish scales by glueing them onto wire armatures.”

It towered over them, a hulking confusion of steel and bone and forgotten wars. No longer a plaything, no longer safe.
My second collaboration with Daniel Benneworth-Gray. He provided the words and the encouragement for this illustration, and I loved every minute of drawing it.
I actually want to know what happens next, which I guess is a good sign.
Drawn on Bristol Board with Sakura Micron pens.
